GIA

I thought Girl, Interrupted was Jolie's most brilliant work to date.  Boy I was wrong.  On previous night, I stumbled across this movie called Gia on HBO. It was near my beauty-sleep so I didn't watch it seriously. But as the movie rolling, I was intrigued. The movie based on true story about Gia Carangi (1960 - 1986) whose success and troubles flew as high as kite. People believed that she was the first model who crowned as "supermodel", considering her walks in famous designer's runaway and covers of many fashion magazines. Her true beauty was inversely to her personal trouble. She was young, fragile, and lonely. She finally hit the rock bottom before became an addict... and later died on age 26 because of AIDS. The disease that considered "taboo" at that time. Even doctors and nurses wore what we called as "space suit" when examined her. Angelina Jolie was literally an unknown actress. But her acting really knocked me out...

Resident BOOEvil

Alice in a same old flick Now I know I don't have to expect too much when it comes to movie franchises, let alone Resident Evil. I think audiences got pretty tired with the last three movies which were basically have the same plot. Alice against Umbrella Corp. Too bad I didn't see this movie in 3D, that I believe would have given a bit of an edge. The movie begins when Alice played by Milla Jovovich is trying to destroy the Umbrella Corp using her newly discovered clones and goes deep inside Umbrella Head Quarters in Tokyo to kill Wesker, played by Shawn Roberts.  Afterlife is simply more the same excuse to have big special effects and continue a plot that simply seems will never end with Umbrella continuing on forever in the next 'afterlife'. The monsters in this movie were good, but I think the zombies don't really play much of a part in the horror and are simply there just to add to the atmosphere. Also, I felt that near the end, it borrows too much from the ...

now and forever..

I know you probably bored about my blahblahblah-ing about marriage. But I think I've learned my lesson today from Mamma Mia! movie. Have seen it several times & always cry at the scene where Donna (Meryl Streep) sing a song for her beloved daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) whom getting married. She sang a beautiful song by ABBA, Slipping Through My Fingers . You wouldn't call me cheesy after you watch the scene by yourself. Sophie & her Mom at the wedding All of sudden, I remembering my mother. I have this kind of -love you but hate you- relationship with her. We fight all the time, yet we can't live without each other. And the picture of me getting marry, flashing like a movie in my head. How I have to leave home.. Leaving my comfort zone all behind and start a brand new life with my husband. I'm a family girl, I'm the -you can count on- girl in my family. It's so sad just to think about this. How my life would be? How their life would be without me? Wo...

This is It!

Have you guys watch This Is It movie? When I woke up in the morning on October 28, the first thing came to my mind was: I gotta see MJ's movie!!! So the next day I went to the movies with my bf. He's a huge fan too. We listen to MJ's music all the time. I must begin by saying that the world has lost one of the greatest artists of a life time. MJ is not only a dancer or a singer, but he is an absolute genius.. The movie was made and edited in a very professional way and it was a great wonderful tribute to MJ.... I was very thrilled to watch the movie and I was more than excited while watching it.. I had tears in my eyes throughout the movie (especially the Jackson 5 part, when he sang I'll Be There, and of course my all time fave: Man In The Mirror) He showed us in the movie what does a TRUE ARTIST really mean. With all the technology that the world has made, yet MJ was using the true talent that he posses. words can't describe his talent and the way the movie was d...

1st day @ work

current mood: awkward .. First day at work.. I arrived early (at 7.30 am) and no one had come! There was only security and driver. LOL. So I parked my car in the carport at the bank, and the security told me not to park there cos the parking area is only for Customers. So I parked my car at the hotel beside my workplace, Holiday Inn. Then I went straight to 2nd floor, where it would be my 2nd home also.. LOL. I have nothing to do. I was busy texting everybody whom more senior than me, "what should I do? It's like I'm invisible" LOL. Nah.. I just sat down on my desk and just looking at everybody's activity. An hour after, there was one girl, came to me and she introduced herself, her name is Fenny. (** sigh.. finally I've a friend). Then he introduce me to everybody there :) There's nothing too serious about today, cos my job was only learn and study about DBS's products and all. That's confusing! Cos DBS has a LOT products, hmmp... Then my boyfrien...

sexiest man alive is........

Oh.. My God!! Sexiest man alive is.. JASON STATHAM. Suddenly, after watched Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, it was "love" at the first sight. Fall in love to him even more after watched Transporter 1 & 2, Crank, War/Rogue Assassin, The Bank Job, Italian Job, Snatch. His masculine face, his accent, his voice, his credibility to fight (damn it!), his muscle, his 6-packs-abs, his everything! He should be the next Bond. Anyway here's my review. Saw it on its premiere last Saturday night. After my crabbing that Quantum of Solace didn't give me the James Bond rush I expected from the series, I happily saw Transporter 3 with Jason Statham's taciturn, scowling super Fed-Ex-like operative, Frank Martin. Jason Statham is perfect as Frank- I doubt there is anyone doing this kind of role better at the moment. I enjoyed this film way more than the latest Bond! This installment exists as nothing more than a Jason Statham fetish movie. We see him kicking ass shirtless ...

twiLight

I loved this movie for the movie it was, nothing more. If you try and compare this movie to the book, of course you're going to end up hating the movie, because the book is, by far, way better. First of all, the movie does start off kind of slow. It's the type of film where they expect you to know everything about the story line in the first 10-15 minutes of the movie. It also does get kind of boring at parts, and some performances could've been better in many ways, but still, in my opinion, this movie indeed rocked. The characters were very well established, the fight/suspense scenes were cool and exciting, and I even began to shed a few tears with the every now and then romance. All in all, I don't see how anyone can flat out hate this movie. It was very fun and entertaining and although it didn't "live up" to the book, it did a very good job, and to me, it was the best it could be without going too far into necessary details and focusing too much on des...

This Week Recap.

First of all, I begin with the movie I'm dying to see... James Bond : Quantum of Solace. I went to see this with my boyfriend, thinking that it would be the same amazing picture that was Casino Royale. Sadly, it wasn't. Quantum of Solace still has the action, the girl and the explosions that you'd expect, but it is still missing something. By removing the gadgets, the car (only around for the first 5 minutes) and the improvisation that you'd expect a Bond flick to have, it has removed essentially what is a Bond film and what you are left with is the story. And the story was not that thought out. Many moments left me thinking: "what was the point of that?". The film is a lot darker, focusing mainly on the character seeking "revenge" but was not the film I expected it to be. A good watch, better than anything else at the cinema now, but not as good a film as I thought, and I felt a bit disappointed walking out. At most 7/10. Meanwhile, congratulations...

dark knight

An imperishable, spectacular and chaotically-brilliant movie. The Dark Knight possesses the essence that should always exist in the handover from comics to the big screen. Sequence after sequence, this is the absolute glory. A great movie that does not give a single frame to breathe!! A real Gotham City, dominated by fear. Christian Bale, as Batman, played his role perfectly and truly charismatic. But of course, the real star of the show is the late and great Heath Ledger , who steals almost every scene he's in as the villainous Joker. This Joker is not like the other renditions; he is the best. Downright evil, corrupt, insane, psychotic, terrifying. In every sense of those aforementioned words. More scary than funny, he shows audiences the Joker is undoubtedly Batman's most nefarious foe and his perfect nemesis, challenging him all the way. With a cynical smile, he proclaims in a scene where Batman is a freak to the public, like the Joker himself. The Joker is downright evil...

my weekend

current mood : OK. Last Saturday I hang out with his mom and his sis. We were going to Kongo, had dinner there, and bought a plant. His Mom is biggest fan of plants. She grows many plants at her house. So, there was a gallery in Kongo (wood gallery) and it was freaking us out! DAYUM* !! Let's take the dining table for example. It made by wood, a teak. They just cut the very raw wood and voila "The most fascinating dining table (from wood) I've ever seen!". Although it's rough but very artistic. I want that I want that I want that! -- that words keep screaming on my mind! Later I knew that those words also screaming on their mind too!!) LOL. Anyway, it was fiercingly EXPENSIVE. Do you dare to buy a little computer desk for above 10M IDR? Get REAL!! Yup maybe I would buy it, if I were President's daughter, Donald Trump's wife, or Tiger Wood's sister (God it's impossible, I'm White!). LMAO. What we could do was just starring at all those art, wit...
