Gently reminder

So my son is about to turn ONE this coming August.. Hmm. Since the day he was born, I haven't get any proper sleep/eat/bath. Yeah you heard me. Even though he already slept through the night by 5months, but still these eyes didn't 100% closed. A tiniest sound would wake me up and checked him. Don't even start with those horrible teething/ I-don't-know-what-that-is night where my son woke up every one or two hours, screamed his throat off and nursing like a vampire LOL. *my poor saggy breasts*  With no nanny or helper to take care my baby, I ain't pretty much taking care of myself anymore. But there were times when I litterally dressed up without special occasion. Because I missed my old self. I was stressed out. Let's say I eat stress for breakfast. Sometimes I gazed through old photos with Mr.D. I hardly got time for him nowadays. There were nights where I went straight to sleep without kissed him goodnight. I was so tired my bones hurt.  Vale had his tantrums ...

Officially missing you ❤️

One thing that I missed throughout this time is having a proper date with Mr.D. I feel like our several years dating weren't enough. I miss trying new restaurant in town, or just going dinner to our favorite cafe.. Sitting and talking and chillin and holding hands.   Being a parent is all about commitment. We can easily slipped away by left our son with my mom or mom in law. But I can't. We can't. I know this sounds ridiculous because there are so many parents out there do the same. Well we can go but our hearts not "in the moment". Vale has been a major major part in our lives.  I didn't really think Mr.D felt the same way.. Until one day he said, "ah how I miss spending all day all night with you, holding hands and watch the movie, doing ridiculous things and eat delicious (or not!) food, driving and go home late." Hahaha. He got that blues too. I thought it was just me. Apparently, parenting has finally taken its toll. :D  Anyway, meal time is ver...

knock knock

Excuse me, whose blog is this? Oh heck, it's mine.  I've been away for too long, waaaaay too long. I've missed new year post, another (chinese) new year post! And little did I know, my son is now 5 months.  It's Sunday morning, Vale woke up at 6. He pooped, and then I was preparing his bathtub. I bathed him and minutes later he slowly dozed off.. Hallelujah! He went back to sleep.  "Me time" calling! :D  I had myself a long good bath, breakfast, filled Sunday's crosswords, and now sitting in front of my laptop stringing along these words.. Realizing how much time flies so fast.  Little updates from me, right now I'm still (and forever will be) a housewife. That's my prime, and ultimate job. Whoever said being a housewife = jobless, have to do it by themselves. In fact, it's ENDless, rather than JOBless (if you know what I mean).  Another job, my online make up business grew bigger each day. When we started months ago, w...

three!

Grrrr... Ini suami gak siaga deh -_-  Akhirnya gue bangunin lagi, "say aku pecah ketuban!!" Setengah ngebentak....

catching up :)

For once (yes I mean for ONCE) in a lifetime, 24 hours is never enough.  Between my new activities as a mother (well well well, what's new?), I'm still doing my homework to finish all Mr. D 's paperwork and also, started a business with my sister. Why not? I do enjoy myself being a mom to the most * precious, handsome, funny, cutest, chubby * baby in the world, but I also need something to do beside breastfeeding and change diapers. Otherwise, my brain cells will slowly cut into pieces. LOL.  That's why I need more than 24 a day. It would be a lot easier if I hire a nanny, so I can do whatever I want without Vale in tow. BUT. Valentino is my first priority no matter what, so anything else comes secondary. In this case, blogging comes in.... fifteenth? Or lower. It's so hard to find time to write a good post. Take a look at my draft, and everything was like, "I'm such a terrible mother!" or "my baby poo poo a lot" or "my brea...

37... going 38

newsflash I'm officially 9 months pregnant.  Entering this 9th month of pregnancy, I think it's finally taken its toll.  I never sleep well during the night, cos I have to go back and forth to the toilet. As well as troubled breathing and I can't seem find the right sleep position. Worst of all, I'm sweating all the time. FYI: I've chopped my hair. I might turn on the AC, but it makes my throat uncomfortable to sleep all night with AC on. And oh, the itchiness haunted me again, which makes me think about those horrible stretch marks. I hope I don't get one in the end. finger crossed. On the other hand, I'm excited too.. To finally reach "its time" to meet him, the center of my universe. Though it can be weeks away. I even thinking about going under the knife. But the intention to have a normal delivery is still strong. Although C-section is now an option, IF I overdue and the ob/gyn tell me to have an induction, then I will choose...

32 weeks!!

32 weeks :) I can't hardly believe that my pregnancy is 32 weeks already!! Where do the time flies? Maybe because I'm still staying active myself and tried to enjoy every second of it. There were down times, I have to admit. But mostly, it was a FUN experience.  Honestly, throughout these 32 weeks, I didn't feel a thing that bother me. EXCEPT, well. I hate the scale! I've gained about 11 kgs and I still have 6 weeks or so to go.. I guess I'll gain about 3 or 4 more kilos until I give birth. That's A LOT. *le sigh* and also my mood swing. And not forget to mention, I am as clumsy as ever. I keep forgetting about things and it started get down to mr.D 's nerves. LOL  Step aside from that, I am enjoying my wiggle wiggle baby boo companion... He seems can't stop moving inside. I talked to him from time to time. Like, "Vale, it's bath time..." or like, "I'm about to eat my favorite food, kick me if you like it too...

phe-nanny-nomenal

Here in Indonesia's two major cities, Jakarta and Bandung, we often stumbled upon a young family of four  six (husband, wife, and two kids, two nannies).  Not one, but two nannies in tow! One child = one nanny. And their parents are busy with their smartphones. No joke guys, I've seen those sights many many times.  If previously I really didn't give a shit about that, now it's different cos I'm pregnant. I began to pay attention to those things. Well.. I couldn't help but wonder, is baby sitting THAT hard? Till you have to hire somebody else to take care of your kid? The case would be different if both parent are working. So maybe they don't have enough time to take care their own kid. (Tho I still prefer to seek help from my mom or mom in law instead of nanny.) BUT if you're a housewife, why don't you take care of your kid by yourself? That make me wonder. Well, to be objective, it's perfectly fine to hire a "helper". But w...

pregnancy week 28

Here we go... Week 28. (third trimester) Baby To be honest, we have found a name for our baby. I'm not gonna reveal the full name yet, as it might change along the way. One thing for sure, we've been calling him "Vale"... As in "Valentino". During these days, Vale's kicks became frequent. If previously I could only feel his kick during night time before I sleep, now I can feel his kicks almost every hour. It's getting stronger too.. I couldn't be more excited! :D  I just went to the obgyn yesterday and Thank God, all is well. Hmm, his only concerned was my baby's weight cos he thought it's below normal!! That's weird cos I've seen many times on several websites and books, the normal range for 27-28 weeks is 1000-1200 grams. Vale is about 1150 grams. I was a bit confused and he suggested me to drink more milk and eat more sugar (eekk!)  Mommy Entering 28th week, there is not much weird f...

oh baby..

I always struggle to find what outfit to wear each day.. It's primarily because, my bump hasn't visible yet but my butt, thigh, etc are already getting bigger. I couldn't find a proper pants. My old jeans? Oh please I left them hanging on the closet since months ago. My new maternity pants? It look ridiculous on me, cos it has this kangaroo pouch. And I don't have any real bump yet . Go imagine.  To save me from wardrobe malfunction, I dragged myself to retail store nearby to find pants. I bought a few, especially ones that I can wear daily and for our upcoming babymoon ! I need something comfortable yet look good on me... Among the quest, I passed by some beautiful dresses that I could've buy in a heartbeat... if only I'm not pregnant. Dresses that undoubted will look good on me even without a trip to the changing room.  The words if only I'm not pregnant often came along in my thoughts. Not only when I walked hopelessly in my favorite store, but whe...

cracking the in law code

Aha!  Gotcha!  Lines by lines of whatsapp and bbm seem never enough when it comes to momster-in-law subject. A lot of friends of mine were gushing about how their in law interfere every part of household....and their kids...and their husband...and their everything. How fastidious their in law are. And so on and so on.  There's technically nothing they could do about that because they still live in the same roof with their in laws. As a friend, all I could do was just cheering them up and tell them my motto, "smile and nod". Whatever goes back at you, just smile and nod.  I've been blessed with a tiny little home with my husband, so as far as I concerned, it's something that I shouldn't worry about. I couldn't be happier. We could literally do what we want to do. Cooking or mop the floor with bikini? Check . Did some crazy stunts at the sofa? Check . Sleep at dawn and wake up at noon? Check . Caught up with a fight and cried all night? Chec...
