I was gonna cursing my last holiday (thanks to the shitty weather). I mean, everyone who intended to go to the beach wanting to laying on the sand to catch some sun. But when I came to Bali last week, it was raining all day all night, even all morning. Going from a to z with car is the least thing I wanna do in Bali. Oftentimes, the traffic became so chaotic that it need approx 1 hour to reach a next door destination.
Enough with the rambling, cos finally on our forth day, the sun finally shone. Woke up with a very bright light and I thought, wow this will be the day I lay on the sand. But the plan quickly changed when hubby decided to rent a bike. Not an usual bike, he rented a Ducati. A bike that he's been craving for so long. But haven't had a chance to buy because he's not selfish. He could have bought it really, but instead he chose to developing his business. His dream honeymoon always be a journey from Bandung to Bali with that bike. Well, we finally afford.. to rent it! LOL.
It was a life-changing experience. We explored Bali, hundreds of kms a day. Only stopped by to buy two instant noodles (mie sedap everyone!) and two hot teas for nearly IDR 100.000 IN the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Kintamani. We almost jumped from our seat cos we didn't eat in a proper restaurant. They served instant noodle and believe me there were flies everywhere! I read the bill and they charged 21% for tax and service (well, not too shabby for a warteg class) LOL We laughed hard as it's part of our exciting journey.
We visited many places, go everywhere we could. Now I understand why he wanted a Ducati hypermotard so much. It's a very cool and fast bike. Comfort enough to sit for all day. He even ever told me to sell one of our car to buy a Duc. Haha. Anyway, Bali has a very clean, huge, traffic free highway. He hardly pressed the brake, I didn't know his maximum speed cos I always closed my eyes whenever he twisted the throttle. But I think I saw a glimpse of 170km/hr on the speedometer.. (Thank God we're still here). LOL. the Duc guy who took the bike the next day said that we passed by their showroom and they were shocked by how fast we are. He asked something like, "man you took your wife that way?" LOL (if only he knew I'm pregnant!) but that's a thing about my hubby. He rides fast, I mean real fast. I often imagined him as a professional motorcycle rider in his previous life. Cos now he doesn't own any sport bike, how could he ride so fast in his first time riding it? It's like he owns it for years. I'm serious.
Anyway, that's the highlight of our recent holiday. Unforgettable one. It was totally a new experience for me. For us. I always look forward to our next journey. It's not necessarily going to some far far away place, but it's all bout our everyday live. Day by day. Love you darling.
P.S photos coming soon!
P.S did I mention that I'm pregnant?!
